The State Health Improvement Plan builds on the work of many coalitions and organizations across South Carolina. These coalitions are comprised of many organizations and are in place to focus attention and work on priority areas. 

The Alliance for a Healthier South Carolina led the development of Live Healthy South Carolina, and two member organizations provided key support, the South Carolina Department of Public Health (SC DPH) and the South Carolina Office of Rural Health(SCORH).
